Vidya Balan has just completed shooting for Who Killed Jessica? and with no films on hand has chosen to spend some quality time with her family at home. She has also started physiotherapy treatment for her shoulder injury.
Our source said, “Though Vidya has a number of offers, she has chosen to take some time off. She will start shooting after a month. Vidya is utilising this time to do things that she always wanted to do. Also, it was important for her to undergo physiotherapy for her pain.”
When contacted Vidya confirmed the news, saying, “It is true that I had a shoulder injury and am now taking treatment for it. How my shoulder got injured, I don’t know. And all the hectic travelling that I had to do for six weeks aggravated the muscle pull. I had ignored it for a long time. But now I can’t afford to. So I started the treatment. I am better now.”

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who has recently walked out of the movie Dhamaal 2, has lost a solo heroine role in Rascals, which is the first film of Sanjay Dutt Productions (SDP). David Dhawan is directing Rascals. Sanjay Dutt also stars Dhamaal 2 along with few other actors.
Initially, the actress agreed to be a part of Dhamaal 2 but asked for a whooping amount of Rs 1.5 crore as fee. The producers refused to pay such a huge amount and she walked out of the movie. She was then replaced by Mallika Sherawat.

Now that designer Sabya-sachi Mukherjee is over with the couture week, he’s taken a week off. Unlike fellow fraternity members, his work now is of a more filmi kind – he’s started work on his first directorial venture. “It’s one of my priorities at the moment,” said Sabya. He began writing the script from August 1.
There are two parallel stories and he’ll work on the one which appears stronger in the discussion stage. He says, “It’s all in my head right now. I’m going to take a week off from work and start it with my writer.” He refuses to give the writer’s name, saying, “It wouldn’t be fair on her. She’s quietly writing two other films too, besides this one. I don’t want to upset her apple cart.”

A few days ago, news began circulating that actress Vidya Balan had exited the sequel of Dhamaal, but hot on the heels of this, was the exciting news that had become a buzz in B-Town.
According to the rumour mill, sexy ‘oomph’ girl, Mallika Sherawat had signed to play Vidya’s part.
Following the success of Ishqiya and Paa Vidya had asked for a huge fee, which did not go down too well with director, Indra Kumar.
Before one could blink an eye, Mallika, who settled for a fee which was fair to both parties, was given the nod.

After foraying into Bollywood with ace Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’, followed by Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rakta Charitra’, the national award winning actress Priyamani is signing more projects in Hindi.
Rumour-mongers insisted that she will be the heroine opposite Salman Khan in the sequel of his 2009 super hit ‘Wanted’ (tentatively titled ‘Wanted 2′), directed by Prabhu Deva. However, the dusky beauty has already denied these reports.
“I wish someone had approached me for the role in ‘Wanted 2′; sadly no one has as yet! But if I get an offer, I will grab it instantly! Who will want to miss out on the chance to act with Sallu bhai?” Priyamani was quoted as saying.

Salman Khan, the handsome hunk of bollywood who rocked in films like ‘Wanted’ opposite young cute thing Ayesha Takia, is being wooed by classical Indian beauty Vidya Balan.
Of course, Vidya Balan’s desire is only limited to celluloid and there is nothing personal about it, but even that desire is difficult to fulfill. Sources say that Salman Khan has decided in principle to work only with upcoming young things, who could provide some freshness to the whole project.
The main reason for this is the type of Salman Khan’s movies. In fact, Salman Khan’s movies have generally male oriented themes and seasoned actresses like Vidya Balan will hardly serve any purpose there.

It is common knowledge that Priyadarshan is only too eager to make a film ‘The Bullet’, and has already cast Ajay Devgn and Vidya Balan for it. However, talks have it that Vidya hasn’t been able to sort out her dates and so her cousin, actress Priyamani was signed on for the role. And all hell broke loose.
Apparently, Priyadarshan who has given an opprtunity to many a South actress in Bollywood is facing flak for the same. The producers of the movie, too, put their foot down and insisted that they wanted a Hindi film actress to play protagonist in this one. Priyan has given in to his demands and has opted for Kangna Ranaut to work with him.

Southern beauty Vidya Balan, who has won several accolades for her struggling mother act in Paa or the brutally seductive villager in Ishqiya, is known famously for getting under the skin of her character.
Taking her penchant for perfection a step further recently, Vidya Balan went all out to research the Victorian era for a photo shoot for a popular magazine.
To morph into the avatar of a glamorous Victorian inspired beauty, Vidya spent a considerable amount of time going about the details of the shoot and did her homework on the theme way before its schedule.
Says a source,“Vidya is a thorough professional. To prepare for the shoot she read up on some Victorian books and looked up a lot of pictures. She wanted to get the look just right but then again that’s the kind of perfectionist she is.”
