Vidya Balan’s a romantic, and she does admit to sounding corny! The actress, who was in Delhi recently, said if she ever wrote a romance, SRK or Salman would star in it.

Five years into the industry and you’ve got an ardent fan and future director in MF Husain…
I know that Husainsaab wants to narrate a script to me, but it depends on when we meet. Because I’d probably travel to London or one such place, where we could meet and discuss. Right now, we haven’t met because I had a slightly hectic schedule and so did he. But there’s no question of starting this September, like it’s being reported, because we’ve not even met. I’ve spoken to him on the phone, though.

Bollywood actresses Vidya Balan and designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s friendship is no secret and the actress recently admitted that she stalks him all the time.

“Sabya is the only designer I stalk these days,” confessed the actress, who was sporting a crème Sabyasachi sari with red blouse at the opening show of Pearls Infrastructure Projects Ltd (PIPL) Delhi Couture Week.

After facing a lot of flak from fashion brigades for her wardrobe, Vidya was bailed out by Sabyasachi who reinvented her looks and style. After that, the actress makes heads turn whereever she actress goes.

While Vidya Balan who considers herself half Bengali had herself a ball in Kolkata last week shooting for Rajkumar Gupta’s No One Killed Jessica. Rani Mukherjee who is a fully certified Bengali was not to be seen in her home-town.

Going by the way Vidya’s shooting schedule went in Kolkata, it was all for the best if Rani stayed away.

Apparently, the 2-day schedule had to be shot with secret cameras in prominent public places where the security was most inadequate.

The very first Couture Week in the capital was opened today by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee who presented a collection inspired by the “essence of India”. Bollywood actresses Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan, who have time and again dressed in Sabyasachi’s creations, were present in the audience to cheer the designer.
“Sabyasachi is the only designer I stalk,” said Vidya, who was clad in a red sari by the designer, while Rani went for a western look in a black dress.

The collection named Aparajito, was unveiled in a grand show which began with the singing of the national anthem.

Balan ‘walks away from Dhamaal 2′

Vidya Balan has rejected the chance to star in Dhamaal 2 because she wants more money, according to Mid Day.

The actress was apparently offered a contract by the film’s producers but walked out on the negotiations because her fee did not meet her expectations.

However, sources close to Balan have claimed that she rejected the offer because she did not like the way her character had been developed.

It has been rumoured that the star now earns around 10 and a half million rupees (around £150,000) per picture.

Vidya Balan is out of Inder Kumar’s next Dhamaal 2 . The buzz in the trade is that Vidya was neither too happy with the money she was being offered for her role, nor with the role per se. A source says, “Vidya asked for a price which she deserves after she catapulted to the top bracket of actors, post the success of Paa and Ishqiya . She asked for Rs 1.5 crore (approximately). Like any other actor would in her place, she too has hiked up her market price.”

Vidya Balan, known for etching all kind of roles with panache, enjoys some old Hindi songs sung by legends like Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi.

Says a source close to the star, “Vidya loves old Hindi music…one of her most prized possessions are a collection of some of the greatest songs by Kishore Kumar and Mohd. Rafi.”

The actress also loves listening to Lata Mangeshkar and R.D. Burman songs. Also reported, Vidya always has a couple of these CDs kept in her car and listens to them while she is travelling.

Recently, Vidya Balan was reported to be Kolkata with the team Rajkumar Gupta’s No One Killed Jessica. She was there for 2-day schedule that were to be shot with secret cameras in prominent public places where security is scarce.
The team has to shoot in crowded locations like Kolkata airport, Park Circus, Ballyganj, and New Market. As it is known fact that the crowds in these places are impossible to control they had placed the cameras secretly.
The actress would then get into camera range and before the general public recognize her, the team would move. Had Rani been along it would have been difficult to control the beserk going crowd. Director shares that it was tougher to shoot in Kolkata than in Delhi but had been a fun.
