While Vidya Balan, who considers herself half a Bengali, had herself a ball in Kolkata last week shooting for Rajkumar Gupta’s No One Killed Jessica, Rani Mukherjee who is a fully certified Bengali was not to be seen in her home-town.
Going by the way Vidya’s shooting schedule went in Kolkata it was all for the best if Rani stayed away. Apparently the two-day schedule had to be shot with secret cameras in prominent public places where the security was most inadequate.

Ever since Deepika has stepped into tinsel town; the gorgeous actress has been poured with nothing but compliments. Be it her style quotient or unconventional beauty Deepika has heard it all. After Ranbir, Shahrukh, Akshay, it is now John Abraham who can’t withhold praising Deepika.
Deepika although not paired opposite John in Desi Boys has managed to flutter his heart and the latter is all head over heels to work with her. It may be recalled, John had similarly felt for Vidya Balan during the shoot of Salaam-E-Ishq which even had led John-Bips’ relationship on the verge of a break-off.

Vidya Balan made a surprise visit to Kolkata on Friday to shoot for Rajkumar Gupta’s No One Killed Jessica.
On Friday, Vidya shot indoors at Debi Roy’s house. On Saturday, the action shifted to Esplanade from where Vidya took a tram ride to Park Circus.
Speaking about the shoot, a unit member said, “Vidya plays a reporter in the film. In her search for the murderer, she lands in Kolkata. The indoor shots are of her in a house, which she suspects belongs to the murderer. On Saturday, we shot portions of her taking a tram ride. Since her character is new to the city, we have canned shots of her taking a tram ride, walking down an alley close to New Market and visiting the Maidan.”

The back-to-back success of Paa and Ishqiya have shifted focus from Vidya Balan’s weight, challenged sense of style and love life to the prodigal histrionic talent that she packs.
Understandably, Balan is both pleased and relieved.
“I think I was trying to be someone else and trying to fit into a mould which people were not accepting. I’m grateful to those criticisms about my weight, dressing sense because I realized that I was trying to forcefully do something. I realized I just have to be myself,” she told DNA.
