Do you think, actor John Abraham is a gay icon?  well atleast vidya balan has different point of view.

His latest role in Dostana in which he strips down to his bare minimum, has found not only many takers among his females fans, but also has men – especially those from the gay community.

The community is really glad to his bare body. And John has been given the tag of being the new gay icon by the community.

And guess what? John doesn’t find it the least offending, and neither his lady love Bipasha has any objections to it.

Once being termed as a home-wrecker, Vidya Balan seems to have learnt her lessons the hard way. The actress has walked herself to safe distance from Bipasha’s baby John Abraham and is declining to do any films with the macho actor.Even as John dared to snub girlfriend Bipasha’s pleas demanding him not to work with Vidya and signed a film featuring the heavy weight actress, his daring act proved futile as the dusky beauty refused to be a part of the film.According to Spicezee sources, John was all set to romance Vidya onscreen in David Dhawan’s forthcoming ‘Hook Ya Crook’. The film that is touted to be a comic caper was going to bring together the much famous ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ couple, but the plans went haywire as Vidya decided to opt out of the flick quoting unsubstantial role as reasons for her refusal to do the film.A news daily even quoted a source as saying “Vidya is not doing UTV’s ‘Hook Ya Crook’. Vidya felt that after Salaam-e-Ishq, she and John needed to do a film, which had substantial roles for both.

John Abraham will not be a part of Nikhil Advani’s next film with Vidya Balan .

John and Vidya had paired together as husband and wife in Advani’s three-plus hours long superdud Salaam-e-Ishq . Advani has plans to make yet another love story starring John and Vidya in lead roles, but the movie appears to have been shelved because John has opted out of the project.

While the reason for John’s departure from the project is still unclear, rumour has it that Bipasha Basu , John’s girlfriend, was not in favour of her beau working with Vidya.

They were one of the six pairs in SALAAM-E-ISHQ and now, David Dhawan is planning to bring them together in his next outing called HOOK YA CROOK. John Abraham and Vidya Balan, who made a lovely couple [on screen, obviously!], will essay principal roles in David’s new film.

While John has been confirmed for the main lead, Vidya is yet to sign on the dotted line. Besides, a top star [name withheld since the actor hasn't signed the film] will also appear in a pivotal role. To be produced by UTV, the film is expected to roll in mid-November this year.

Whether Bipasha Basu approves of it or not is yet to be seen. But, Vidya Balan has signed a David Dhawan comedy, Hook Ya Crook with Bips’s boyfriend John Abraham.

It seems Vidya has developed an affinity towards comedies. While Vishal Bhardwaj’s Ishqya will mark Vidya’s entry in the comedy genre , Hook Ya Crook will be her second.

In Ishqya , Vidya plays up the uncle (Naseeruddin Shah) against his nephew, Arshad Warsi. Hook Ya Crook was to earlier star Telugu star Siddharth with Amrita Rao. But they were dropped and Vidya and John came on board.
