Believe it or not, Vidya Balan’s kismet is tightly connected to monsoon. How? Very simple, see most of Vidya’s hit films, be it Parineeta, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Bhool Bhulaiyaa or Heyy Babyy, all were released during monsoon and enjoyed sprinkle of cash at the box office.

You may not look that much satisfied with the reasoning though, but you have to think and believe that Guru was a hit and among few of her screen presences in Guru, Vidya had a drenched-in-rain scene which was obviously the reason behind Guru flaunting a hit.

Vidya Balan, who is Shahid’s good friend and also his co-star in “Kismet Konnection”, says she has never worked with an actor as hardworking as Shahid. The actress has gone totally gaga over Shahid’s commitment towards everything he does.

“Shahid is the most unselfish co-star I have ever come across as well as a very disciplined and talented actor. He puts in so much of hard work in his performance that it in a way inspires you to work harder and I respect him for that,” says the actress.

Imagine the embarrassment relishing scrumptious hotdogs and realising that you do not have any money on you to pay them?

That too in a foreign country! This embarrassing but funny incident occurred when Vidya Balan and Aziz Mirza were shooting for the movie in Canada.

Hotdogs happen to be one of Vidya’s and Aziz’s favourite delicacies and the duo just decided to have them from one of the vendors on the street.

Vidya ordered her favourite flavour, while Aziz ordered his! The two even initiated a casual conversation with the vendor. The vendor seemed pretty impressed by what Vidya and Aziz had to say about each other.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan says that she had to undergo a weight reduction programme before beginning shooting of Aziz Mirza’s “Kismet Konnections” opposite Shahid Kapoor.
Talking to reporters here, Vidya said for the first time in her career she was acting opposite a hero who was of her age.

“After working with likes of Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, I am for the first time being paired opposite Shahid who is of my age. Hence, I had to go on yoga and dieting,” she added.

Speaking about “Kismet Konnections”, Vidya said like all Aziz Mirza films, this one too was about simplicity and emotions of a common man.

Vidya Balan’s eyes brim over with mischief when you ask her about the rumours surrounding her.

The look on her face has got nothing to do with what the make-up man is trying to do to it. “Even my dress sense or the supposed lack of it can make headlines,” she laughs.

“Maybe those who wrote those things about me had nothing else to write about. And I will not blame them. I had been talking about the same films and same stuff for too long. But now, I have a release coming up, I am doing a couple of films, so can everyone please concentrate on my career?” she asks.

Vidya Balan has finally let go of her inhibitions and turned into an atrocious prankster on the sets of Kismet Konnection . The otherwise shy and serious actress, Vidya has been actually meting out shock treatments to her crew mates with a tiny electric pen!

Apparently, Vidya found herself an electric pen and very wittily, she replaced it with an ordinary pen kept next to the director’s monitor. Every time an unsuspecting soul lifted the pen to jot down shoot details, they would get an instant shock which would make Vidya and those aware of the pranks, burst into fits of laughter.

Pritam is certainly enjoying composing for Atif Aslam.

After ‘Pehli Nazar Mein’ [RACE], which turned out to be a huge success and is still resulting in the album being one of the Top-3 sellers in spite of being on the stands for six months, Pritam has collaborated with Atif Aslam once again for KISMAT KONNECTION. This time around, the song in question is ‘Bakhuda’ that is picturised on Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan. Written by Sayeed Quadri, the number has Alka Yagnik pairing as Aslam’s co-singer.

There has been a buzz in the media about Vidya Balan’s man. The speculation started when in one of her interviews she mentioned that her man’s name will have the initial S.

The actress is clear that the talk about her relationship with Shahid Kapur is a figment of imagination since the two are working in Kismat Konnection and she has now learnt to laugh off the “rumours”.

Vidya has clarified now that she was misquoted in that interview.

Tuesday night’s music release of Kismet Konnection turned out to be a mini-disaster with half the media walking out of the event. The event, organised by Filmfare and Tips was to start at 8.30 pm.

Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan, however, only strolled in at 11 pm. A few TV channels walked out in protest. Vids apologised on stage blaming the “bad traffic” (Was she driving from Khandala?)

The punctual Shahid snapped, “I won’t give any excuses, I was told to be there at 10!” Later, both waltzed off to Bling for their own private party with the rest of cast and crew.
