That is what Vidya Balan wished for when she was presented the best actress trophy at FICCI FRAMES 2011 Business Excellence Awards by Hollywood star and ‘the sexiest man on the Earth’ Hugh Jackman.

Her idea about the unique international casting for ISHQIYA 2 found instant approval from Jackman and Shahrukh Khan who were all ready to sign up for the project there and then in the presence of industry stalwarts like Yash Chopra, Ramesh Sippy, and ‘the most beautiful woman on the Earth’ Aishwarya Rai Bachhan. However, there was a hitch. Jackman had to prove his ‘Bollywood quotient’ before landing up the role and was called upon by the hostess of the show Minnie Mathur to demonstrate his booty shaking skills by dancing to a Bollywood tune along with SRK. And thus happened a hilarious ‘sangam’ of Bollywood and Hollywood, which looked more like a ‘sandwich’ with Vidya Balan acting as a thick slice of juicy cheese of ‘Silk Smita variety’ between the two dancing stars – the ‘Wolverine’ and ‘Whose Name is Khan’ who performed an impromptu jig with her in the middle. Hugh Jackman, SRK, and Aishwarya Rai were also honoured on the occasion and were presented awards.

Sometime ago media came abuzz with the story of Vidya Balan’s affair with UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapoor, rather we also got to know that it was the reason why Vidya stopped chasing after Shahrukh Khan, whom she loved dearly once, anyway but now putting an end to the story, Siddharth’s brother Aditya Roy Kapoor told us that there is no truth behind this rumour.

Aditya, the younger brother of Siddharth dismissed the reports of his brother and Vidya’s affair, he said – “Well, I have no idea about that.”

Though he didn’t say that his brother wouldn’t like to be paired, but the girl is not Vidya Balan, “He hasn’t chosen anyone as yet,” Aditya added.

Many a times in the past as well Vidya Balan has confessed her love for Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, and the southern beauty is not changed at all, she is still the same crazy self for SRK.

Recently at Karan Johar’s chat show, “Koffee With Karan”, Vidya said to Rani that she didn’t like her in ‘Mitwa’ song, even though she is a big fan of KANK. When Rani and Karan asked her why? She said I wanted to be in Rani’s place romancing with SRK.

In our perception, her craziness enhanced multiple folds when we got to know that she even calls her current boyfriend (Siddharth Roy Kapur) as SRK.

Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan who played son and mother in ‘Paa’ received the best actor and best actress award at the 55th filmfare awards on Saturday night. While Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ‘3 Idiots’ won the best film awards and Rajkumar Hirani bagged the best director award for the same film.

Music composer AR Rahman won the best music director award for ‘Delhi 6’ and Mohit Chauhan who crooned Masakali won the best male singer. Singers Kavita Seth and Rekha Bhardwaj shared the female playback singer trophy. Kavita for ‘Ik Tara’ from ‘wake Up Sid’ and Rekha for ‘Genda Phool’ from Delhi 6.
Hosts Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan again made the evening funnier with their jokes. Actor Shahid Kapur gave a stunning performance. He paid tribute to pop singer Michael Jackson.

Actress Vidya Balan would star in Nikhil Advani’s Chand Bhai and Bhansali’s Chenab Gandhi as she signed both the movies recently.

Advani’s Chand Bhai is a raw realistic song less film on juvenile delinquency. At the same time the actress won’t be seen in the central character. The story of the movie revolves around the delinquent boy’s character.

At the same time, she would be working with Vibhu Puri’s Chenab Gandhi, that would be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Vidya is said to be spell bound by the script and project. She attended costume and reading session to understand the sequences. Hurman Baweja is said to be the opposite of the star in the movie.

Vidya recently saw Ghajini and was bowled over by Aamir Khan. “I’m dying to work with Aamir.” “And Shah Rukh of course is my favourite,” said the actress.

The graceful Vidya Balan who turned a year older on January 1, has turned a new leaf.

After her abortive attempts to revamp her wardrobe in Heyy Baby and Kismat Connection Vidya has decided to go easy on the glam ramp.

“It’s not as though I’m disowning my efforts to do glamorous roles. I’m proud of Heyy Baby and Kismat Connection. But this year I’m doing films that don’t need me to stretch my personality. I’m very happy doing roles that come naturally to me. That’s what I decided about my career this year.”

Vidya has just given the nod to Nikhil (Chandni Chowk To China) Advani’s next film which would surprise many.

Advani’s Chand Bhai is a raw realistic songless film on juvenile delinquency.

Says Vidya, “It’s nothing like the high-flying glam-wham stuff that one expects from Nikhil after Chandni Chowk. Chand Bhai is a stark very real kind of drama. And I get to co-star with a very talented actor Akshaye Khanna with whom I was in Nikhil’s Salaam-e-Ishq though we had just one passing shot together.”

Vidya gladly admits Chand Bhai doesn’t feature her in the central role.

“The film revolves around the delinquent boy’s character. But I’m very happy to be part of a film that addresses itself an important social issue. This year I think I’m done with searching for various bylanes to my screen identity.

All my forthcoming films have a sharp sense of social purpose, and that definitely includes Vibhu Puri’s Chenab Gandhi which I’m enormously excited about because it’s produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”

Vidya has been attending costume and reading sessions for Chenab Gandhi and is spellbound by the script. “But I haven’t really interacted that much with my co-star Hurman as yet. With Mr Bachchan who plays the title role, I share a lifelong bonding.

Right from Eklavya we’ve been paired in so many films right up to Chenab Gandhi and now Balki’s Pa. If I did all the films last year that I was offered with Mr Bachchan I wouldn’t be working with anyone else, ” says Vidya, adding she’s excited to work with Abhishek Bachchan for the first time in Pa.

“We’ve never been paired together.It would be interesting to have another interesting co-star to work with, ” says Vidya who went to Panchgani for her birthday this year, with her parents, sister and brother-in-law.

“It’s very rare for all five of us in the family to be together. My birthday falls on a very unforgettable day, the New Year. It’s preceded by Christmas, so we all take time off to be together.

Another advantage of being born on the first day of the year is, no one can claim to forget your birthday, ” she says with loud laughter.

Vidya recently saw Ghajini and was bowled over by Aamir Khan. “I’m dying to work with Aamir. And Shah Rukh of course is my favourite. I said on Sajid Khan’s chat show I want to kill Shah Rukh’s wife. No one took me seriously. There was no enhancement in the security around her. Sad.”

Vidya Balan was recently a guest on Sajid Khan’s chat show and she made some shocking statements. She openly declared love for Bollywood’s baadshah Shahrukh Khan.

When Sajid asked Vidya about her latest crush, pat came the reply from Vidya – Shahrukh Khan. Sajid teased her and warned her that Gauri Khan would be watching the show. But Vidya said, she would be even willing to kill Gauri Khan to get the man of her dreams.

Well… in that case Vidya… you are in cue. There must be a million other women hoping the same.

It’s confirmed now. Vidya Balan needs Shah Rukh Khan’s help to romance Shahid Kapoor. On the sets of Kismet Konnection, Vidya Balan insisted on playing Mitwa from Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna during her romantic scenes with  Shahid Kapoor which, according to our source, helped her get all mushy.

Vidya was so addicted to this mushy number that she wanted it played every time she had to shoot a romantic scene with Shahid.

Vidya has got the song on her laptop and iPod as well. A source from the sets of Kismet Konnection says, “Whenever Vidya got stuck during any of her romantic scenes with Shahid, she would listen to this song for inspiration. Every time the song was being played, the scene got okayed in one take.” Whoa there, SRK!
